About Onsite Link Verdict
What is Onsite Link Verdict?
Onsite Link Verdict is a WordPress link-checking plugin that runs on the site’s server. It separates confirmed broken links from requests that could not be verified.
What Onsite Link Verdict does
The plugin checks internal and external links, images, approved comments and redirect chains. Confirmed missing pages and repeated failures appear in Broken, while blocked requests, rate limits or challenges stay Unverifiable. Rows include status codes and plain-language notes with links to the affected content. Pro adds reviewed URL replacement, undo, a domain skip list and CSV export.
Who Onsite Link Verdict is for
WordPress site owners maintaining links can use the plugin. It identifies rendered links from page builders but leaves edits inside page builders or shortcodes to the owner.
How Onsite Link Verdict works
The owner installs the plugin from WordPress, opens its Tools panel and starts a scan. Background passes run through WordPress cron, with limits per pass and Careful, Normal or Fast scheduling. New or edited posts are checked after saving. Pro presents every affected location before replacement and refuses a replacement if the post changed in the meantime.
Key features
- Broken verdicts confirm 404 or 410 responses twice.
- Unverifiable links are separated from Broken.
- Warnings include redirect chains and loops.
- Duplicate URLs are requested once.
- Internal unpublished posts receive state-aware notes.
- Pro replacements present affected content first.
- Pro provides undo and CSV export.

What is each pass limited to?
A pass checks at most 100 links or runs for 45 seconds, whichever comes first.
Can Pro edit page-builder content?
No. Page-builder and shortcode locations are identified but left unchanged.
What are the requirements?
The docs require WordPress 6.1 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
