## Offer

- A free listing is a public product page with two images, scheduling and replies to visitors' questions.
- Directory Pro is $20 USD once for one product when `get_directory_offer` reports `checkout_enabled` and `price_cents` 2000. If checkout is not enabled, don't quote a price or invent a checkout link.
- Pro adds the verified directory catalog with submit links, the reusable product packet, submission tracking, product updates, analytics, Domain Rating history, eight images and 30 days on the homepage.
- LotsDirectory stores the work; you (the owner's agent) or the owner fill each directory's form. Many directories need the owner for sign-in, uploads, payment or verification: prepare everything, then hand those steps to the owner. Each directory decides what it accepts, and its fees are separate.

## List a product

1. Call `get_directory_offer`, then `list_my_listings` to see whether the product already exists.
2. Read the owner's website, then create the listing with `submit_listing`. Pass `publication: draft` to keep it private while you prepare it, or `schedule` with `scheduled_publish_at`. Write the tagline and description from what the site says; don't invent features, prices or users. Change it later with `update_listing`.
3. Images: `upload_listing_image` for a URL or base64, or `create_listing_image_upload` then `complete_listing_image_upload` for a local file. 2 MB each; two on Free, eight on Pro.
4. Publish, schedule, unlist or return it to draft with `manage_listing_publication`, and tell the owner whether it's live, scheduled or awaiting review.
5. Answer visitors: `list_owner_questions`, then `answer_question` with the owner's approval of the wording.

## Upgrade

1. `get_listing_entitlements` shows Free or Pro for the product.
2. `create_listing_checkout` returns a checkout URL. Give it to the owner to pay in the browser; never enter payment details.
3. After they pay, call `confirm_listing_payment`.

## Launch across directories (Pro)

Every Pro call needs `listing_id` for a product the owner controls.

1. Read `get_submission_packet`. Use `format` `text` or `markdown` when the owner wants something to paste. Missing fields stay missing; ask the owner instead of guessing.
2. Save corrections with `update_submission_packet`. Send `null` to clear one override. Pass `expected_revision`; on a conflict, reload and try once.
3. Pick directories with `list_submission_directories` (filters: category, pricing, link type, minimum DR, progress, `relevant=true`). Agree the list with the owner first, including any directory fees.
4. For each one, open `submit_url`, fill the form from the packet, and stop for the owner at logins, payments and CAPTCHAs. Then `record_directory_submission`: `submitted` needs a receipt or note, `live` needs the public URL of the listing, `needs_action` needs the owner's next step.
5. Report with `list_directory_submissions` (it includes counts by state; `format=text` gives a copyable summary).
6. Analytics: `get_listing_analytics`. Domain Rating: `get_listing_dr_history`, and `record_listing_dr` with the value and source you observed. Unknown is not zero.
7. Post news with `add_listing_update` when the owner ships something, so the listing stays current.

## Don't

- Don't mark a directory live until there's a public URL.
- Don't change another owner's product.
- Don't promise homepage placement before the product is public. The 30-day window starts once, on the first public publication.

## Manual alternative

The owner can do the same work at https://lots.directory/dashboard and https://lots.directory/submit-to-directories.
