What is ZeroTier Networking?

ZeroTier is a software-defined networking platform that connects devices, servers, and clouds with cryptographic identity and peer-to-peer connectivity. ZeroTier One is the networking platform. ZeroTier Quantum is a separate post-quantum platform.

What ZeroTier Networking does

Devices join networks using cryptographic identity. Traffic is encrypted, and connections are established peer-to-peer whenever possible. Policy is defined centrally and enforced locally. Networks can span public clouds, private data centers, self-hosted and air-gapped networks, and remote or edge devices. Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking are both listed, including Ethernet bridging and routed IP. Networks can be controlled via APIs. A FIPS 140-3 validated variant is listed, with NIST CMVP 5424. How ZeroTier Networking works

Deploy the ZeroTier agent and join a network with cryptographic identity. Each member is authenticated and connected. Traffic is encrypted and peer-to-peer whenever possible, with policy enforced at the endpoint. Personal use can start free. Commercial use is on Essential, Scale, or Enterprise. Quantum starts with a conversation and is a separate platform.
