## Detailed info

## What is Wheel of Names Picker?

Wheel of Names Picker is a free online wheel of names that picks a random winner from a list in seconds.

## What Wheel of Names Picker does

The tool splits lists of names or numbers into equal wheel slices, picks a winning slice using cryptographic randomness, animates the spin with sound and confetti, and logs past picks in a results tab.

## Who Wheel of Names Picker is for

Teachers calling on students, streamers running prize giveaways, team leaders assigning tasks, and groups making decisions.

## How Wheel of Names Picker works

Users paste names into the entries box, pick a color palette, and spin the wheel; the browser Web Crypto API picks the winning slice before the animation begins.

## FAQ

### How does the wheel pick a random winner?
Every spin uses the browser Web Crypto API to generate a cryptographic random number that determines the winning slice before the animation starts.

### How many names can be placed on the wheel?
There is no fixed limit because the wheel automatically scales text size to fit both short and long entry lists.

### Is an account or download required to use the wheel?
No. The generator runs completely in the browser with no account, no app to install, and no cost.

### Are entered names uploaded to external servers?
No. Lists never leave the device, staying saved only in the browser.
