About StowLink

What is StowLink?

StowLink is a native bookmark manager for Mac, with a free iPhone app for the same library. It saves, organizes, and finds links with nested folders, notes, previews, and keyboard shortcuts. No StowLink account is required.

What StowLink does

StowLink imports bookmarks from Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, or from a bookmarks.html export. Links can be saved from the clipboard, filed in nested folders, and searched by title, URL, domain, description, or folder. A saved page can show a title, description, image, and a playable video preview, and a note can stay with the link. The library stays on the Mac by default. Optional iCloud sync uses an Apple Account and can keep one library on iPhone and on other Macs. StowLink does not run a separate cloud database for saved links.

Who StowLink is for

StowLink is for people who save a lot of links. The page names developers, designers, researchers, and everyday collections such as recipes, videos, and travel ideas. A Windows build is not out yet. There is a waitlist for an email when one is ready.

How StowLink works

Download StowLink and save ten links before a license is required. If StowLink is open, copy a URL and press Command-V. If the window is closed, hold Command and double-tap Shift. Press Command-K to jump to recent links, folders, and settings. If the window is closed, press Command-Option-K to search and open a saved link without opening StowLink. On iPhone, save from the Share Sheet. Turn on iCloud in Settings on each device with the same Apple Account to keep one library. A license works on up to two Macs at a time. Deactivate a Mac in Settings to move that slot. StowLink checks for notarized Sparkle updates, and updates that are published are included with the license.
