## Detailed info

## What is Shipmail?

Shipmail puts inboxes, calendars, newsletters, bookings, an AI assistant, transactional email, and an API on a custom domain in one subscription. Plans start at $4/mo, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

## What Shipmail does

You pay for mailboxes, not domains. Paid plans support up to 50 custom domains in one organization with no per-domain fee. Solo through Scale share the same tools. AI writing help, to improve or shorten a draft, starts at Pro. A calendar comes with every mailbox and can sync with a phone. Booking pages fill from real availability, Google Meet or Zoom can add a meeting link, and invitations can go out in the guest language. The API sends welcome emails, receipts, and password resets. Every send is logged as delivered, bounced, or marked as spam, and replies go to a Shipmail mailbox. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are set up when a domain is connected. Shipmail adds no tracking pixels and rewrites no links in regular or API email. Stored messages can be encrypted with a key only you hold. The about page says Shipmail does not scan, sell, or use email for ads, and mail can be exported.

## Who Shipmail is for

The about page includes founders, small teams, and the businesses they run. Most customers are not developers. They connect a domain and use webmail, or Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, or any email app. Developers use the same account for transactional email and can give an AI agent a mailbox. The for page also addresses freelancers, startups, agencies, consultants, ecommerce, nonprofits, law firms, accountants, real estate, creators, and founders who hand email to an agent such as Muse, Dots, or Grok Bot.

## How Shipmail works

Try free for 14 days. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is entered at checkout, and you are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then from the billing page and you pay nothing. The page also says you can cancel in two clicks. A mailbox is a separate inbox that can send and receive, with its own storage and login. An alias delivers to an existing mailbox. Catch-all receives mail sent to any address on the domain. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Shipmail configures core deliverability records, keeps the domain portable, and explains export, cancel, or delete. The company is independent, founded by Julien Coulaud in 2026. ## FAQ

### How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is entered at checkout, and you are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then from the billing page and you pay nothing. The pricing page also says you can cancel in two clicks.

### What counts as a mailbox?
A mailbox is a separate inbox that can send and receive email, with its own storage and login. An alias is an extra address that delivers to an existing mailbox. Each mailbox in the plan adds 2 aliases, from the included list.

### How much storage is included?
Solo and Pro include 15 GB per mailbox. Team and Scale include 25 GB. A Solo or Pro mailbox can be set to 25 GB total for $5 per month or $50 per year. Any paid mailbox can be set to 100 GB total for $10 per month or $100 per year.

### Are there sending limits?
Regular email and newsletters have separate monthly limits. Regular sends are pooled across the organization: Solo 20,000, Pro 40,000, and Team 120,000. Scale adds 10,000 per mailbox. A regular email counts as one send no matter how many recipients it has. Solo includes 1,000 newsletter sends, Pro 5,000, and Team 25,000. One newsletter sent to one subscriber is one send.

### Can the mail stay in Apple Mail or Outlook?
Yes. Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, or any email app already in use can connect. IMAP, SMTP, and CalDAV are listed. There is no lock-in line on the home page: keep using Apple Mail, Outlook, or any email app.

### Does Shipmail add tracking to email?
Shipmail adds no tracking pixels and rewrites no links in regular or API email. Newsletters can show open and click stats for each issue. They are off by default. Catch-all can receive mail sent to any address on the domain.
