About Mailwell

What is Mailwell?

Mailwell is an email client application for the Mac. It puts multiple email accounts into one window and stores email data locally on macOS instead of on remote servers.

What Mailwell does

Mailwell connects Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Fastmail, and any IMAP or JMAP accounts side by side in a unified inbox. Fastmail, Kagi Mail, and FranklyMail connect using JMAP so the server delivers new mail when it arrives. Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com accounts use Microsoft sign-in without requiring IMAP. Passwords remain stored in the macOS Keychain, and no intermediary servers sit between the application and email providers. Mailwell includes conversation threading, inbox category tabs, calendar invitation previews, flight details extraction, and privacy controls that block remote tracking images.

Who Mailwell is for

Mailwell is designed for Mac users managing multiple email accounts across Gmail, Microsoft 365, Fastmail, and other IMAP or JMAP services.

How Mailwell works

Users download Mailwell for macOS 14 or later, enter email addresses during setup, connect using provider sign-in, app passwords, or API tokens, and access email locally.
