About FanForge

What is FanForge?

FanForge is a creative workspace for a novel, a film, a game, a tabletop prototype, a campaign, or visual work. It is a working private alpha. Private alpha access is by application, for people 18 or over.

What FanForge does

A Forge adapts its rooms and starting steps to the kind of project. Writing can hold a manuscript, people, places, and revisions. The workspace also includes a spatial Board, artwork, and connected Lore. Collaborators can be invited to discuss the work, organise tasks, and review revisions, or the project can begin alone. Revision, review decisions, and attribution stay connected, and an accepted contribution stays linked to the creator and the project. An approved Overview can be published, its link shared, and open roles recruited, while the private workspace stays private.

Who FanForge is for

FanForge is for writers, filmmakers, artists, game designers, tabletop creators, and a Game Master, working alone or with a team. Javan Buchanan is the founder. Applications are reviewed individually, for people who will use FanForge with a real project. A person must confirm they are 18 or over.

How FanForge works

Apply for the private alpha with a name, email, creative role, and what FanForge would be used for. Applications are reviewed individually. After access, create a Forge. Setup progress gives a next action and a route towards sharing. Write in the manuscript-first editor, shape work on the Board, and keep Lore connected. Invite people when ready. Review notes stay attached to the work, and an accepted decision is recorded with the creator, role, and project. Publish the approved Overview when it should have a public face. The product capture on the page is labeled fictional demo content.
