About EM Keep
What is EM Keep?
EM Keep imports WhatsApp chats so a conversation comes back on the day it happened. A journal comes back tomorrow, next year, or on a later date. Free is €0, and Premium is €24.99 per year.
What EM Keep does
A chat is exported from WhatsApp as a text file and brought into EM. EM never connects to WhatsApp directly. Messages are encrypted on the device before they leave it. The encryption key is locked with the password and is not sent to EM servers. Free covers up to 3 imported chats, 2 journal entries a day, and 500 character entries. Premium covers up to 5 imported chats, unlimited journal entries, and 5,000 character entries.
Who EM Keep is for
It is for someone who wants a WhatsApp conversation kept after a phone change or after WhatsApp is deleted. EM works on iPhone and Android. Group chats will import. A recovery phrase is part of the account. No WhatsApp backup has to be enabled to export a chat as a file.
How EM Keep works
EM uses AES-256-GCM encryption. The key is wrapped with the password using PBKDF2. EM uses a zero-knowledge encryption model, so the encrypted data on the servers is unreadable without the password. Free includes 17 moods, 3 word searches to start then 1 a month, and 43 categories of fact cards. Premium includes all 29 moods, a word search every day, 60 categories, and voice notes from the chats. Cancel any time.
