What BuddySOS does
Hold SOS for two seconds. A five-second countdown can cancel a false alarm. The active group gets a push that deep-links into the live map, and emergency contacts get an SMS with the location even if they never installed the app. Safe zones send a push when someone enters or leaves. A tracking window has a start and end time, and sharing stops when the window closes. Location is encrypted in transit and at rest. BuddySOS keeps no location history and does not sell location data. There are no ads.

BuddySOS is for a family, crew, team, or person who wants a shared live map and SOS in the US and Canada. Phone number only, no email. Sign-up uses a text-message code. It is on the App Store and Google Play.
How BuddySOS works
Download BuddySOS and create a group. Invite people by phone number or a link. When location sharing is on, the group sees each other on the live map. Hold SOS to alert the group and text emergency contacts. Draw one safe zone on Free, or up to 5 on Plus. Pause a group to stop sharing to it. Leave or delete the group and access ends. Battery Saver Mode and a tracking window are listed for longer sharing.
